We’re excited to announce that AWAL will take to the airwaves with the launch of a biweekly residency, ‘A World Artists Love,’. Each episode will feature AWAL artists and the series kicks off today with Franc Moody.
Episodes will explore the sonic lineage of a different special guest as they walk listeners through their influences and share hard-earned lessons they hope to pay forward.
Foundation.fm was formed in November 2018 by Becky Richardson, Ami Bennett and Frankie Wells to showcase the best and brightest emerging talent in underground music. Led by a diverse group of women, LGBTQI+ persons and talented creatives, foundation.fm’s DJs and hosts are at the forefront of their respective scenes and genres.
Alison Donald, Head of Creative at Kobalt and AWAL, commented “It’s always inspiring to work with people who share the same values as you do, and so the partnership with foundation.fm works on every level. It’s a great opportunity for AWAL to support a positive, female-led initiative, plus it gives artists access to a brand-new audience. The residency is just one of many exciting things we hope to do with foundation.fm over the next year.”
